Ilhéus vive um grande momento de reflexão e mobilização social, nessa manhã de quarta feira (20), centenas de pessoas participaram da Caminhada pelo Fim da Violência contra a Mulher, promovida pela Frente Parlamentar das Mulheres (Câmara Municipal de Ilhéus). A ação reuniu vários grupos, servidores e comunidade, reafirmando a importância do enfrentamento coletivo a todas as formas de violência.
A caminhada teve início na Praça da Catedral São Sebastião e percorreu várias ruas do centro e terminou em frente a Prefeitura Municipal e a Câmara Municipal, a intenção desse ato é a resistência e esperança de dias melhores com segurança para todos, lembrando que, por trás dos números, existem vidas, histórias e famílias impactadas pela violência. A Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil – Seccional Bahia (OAB-BA), presidida por Daniela Borges, e a Subseção de Ilhéus, presidida por Jacson Cupertino, protocolaram um ofício conjunto direcionado à Secretaria de Segurança Pública do Estado da Bahia (SSP-BA). O documento tem como objetivo solicitar ao secretário responsável pela pasta, Marcelo Werner, providências imediatas diante da escalada de mortes violentas em um curto espaço de tempo em Ilhéus, sobretudo a morte brutal de três mulheres.
A iniciativa ocorre em meio à onda de crimes bárbaros que têm chocado a população de Ilhéus nos últimos dias, aumentando a sensação de insegurança entre os cidadãos. O cenário se torna ainda mais preocupante justamente no mês em que são realizadas, em todo o país, ações de enfrentamento à violência contra a mulher, com a campanha Agosto Lilás.
No ofício, a OAB ressalta a importância de que as investigações avancem com celeridade, garantindo à sociedade a devida identificação e responsabilização dos autores. Em alusão ao Agosto Lilás, a Frente Parlamentar de Mulheres da Câmara Municipal de Ilhéus realiza, no próximo dia 19 de agosto, às 9h, no plenário da Câmara de Ilhéus, a roda de conversa “Papo de Homem – Unidos pelo fim da violência contra mulheres”. A iniciativa busca estimular o diálogo e a reflexão sobre o papel dos homens no enfrentamento à violência de gênero.
O encontro contará com a participação de Dr. Hedél Torres, advogado especialista em direitos humanos e combate ao tráfico de pessoas, professor, autor e presidente da ONG Justiça Humanitária Social (JHS), e Drª. Michele Laila, advogada integrante da Comissão da Mulher na OAB e especialista em Direito de Família.
