Pela primeira vez desde sua inauguração, o Hospital Regional Costa do Cacau (HRCC), em Ilhéus, começou a realizar extrações dentárias em pacientes submetidos à cirurgia de transplante de valva cardíaca, um procedimento de alta complexidade que exige cuidados rigorosos para evitar infecções.

A iniciativa, pioneira na Bahia, evita que pacientes em estado delicado precisem ser transferidos para outras unidades ou retornem aos seus municípios de origem.

“Ao longo de sete anos, esses pacientes eram expostos a situações de vulnerabilidade por não terem esse tipo de atendimento especializado no próprio hospital”, explica o odontólogo Manoel Lúcio Santos Estrela, coordenador da Cirurgia Bucomaxilofacial do HRCC. “Hoje, oferecemos esse cuidado dentro da unidade, com segurança, equipe qualificada e compromisso com a vida”.

Foi dessa forma que a dona de casa Maria Bispo, moradora do Bairro da Califórnia, traduziu sua gratidão e emoção por receber o auxílio do programa “Semana Santa com Peixe na Mesa”, promovido pela Prefeitura de Itabuna, por meio da Secretaria Municipal de Promoção Social e Combate à Pobreza (SEMPS).

Nesta terça-feira, dia 15, um total de 22.500 famílias em situação de vulnerabilidade social receberam 45 mil quilos de peixes tipo Corvina, acompanhados de um kit composto por feijão, arroz, azeite de dendê, leite de coco e uma caixa de bombons de chocolate.

Desde as primeiras horas da manhã já era intenso o movimento de pessoas que, organizadas em filas e com vouchers nas mãos, aguardavam o início do trabalho das equipes em cinco postos de distribuição instalados pela SEMPS. Graças à logística e ao planejamento executado pela Prefeitura, a partir das 8 horas, as famílias começaram a ser atendidas com rapidez e segurança.

Coordenando a distribuição dos alimentos, o prefeito Augusto Castro (PSD) visitou todos os postos de entrega e conversou com muitas das famílias que agradeceram, emocionadas, ao prefeito por manter a distribuição do peixe na Semana Santa.

“Pelo quinto ano consecutivo, a Prefeitura está mantendo a tradição de assegurar o ‘Peixe na Mesa” para mais de 22.500 famílias itabunenses.“Isto faz parte da nossa política de governo, instituída através do Programa de Segurança Alimentar, em 2021, voltado para famílias em situação de vulnerabilidade social”, disse Augusto.

O prefeito destacou ainda que mais que uma tradição cristã do consumo do peixe na Sexta-Feira Santa, o governo municipal precisa garantir que tais famílias tenham sempre os nutrientes básicos para sua alimentação.

“A Páscoa é a festa mais importante para o cristianismo. É a época na qual as pessoas estão mais predispostas a praticar a caridade e o amor, principalmente voltados para quem mais precisa. Enquanto governo, através das políticas públicas, precisamos estimular tal prática, fazendo o que nos compete para que ninguém passe fome”, disse Augusto Castro.

O secretário de Promoção Social e Combate à Pobreza, José Carlos Trindade, também esteve acompanhando o trabalho das equipes e falou da importância do programa “Semana Santa com Peixe na Mesa”.

“A entrega dos peixes e kits para estas famílias é a certeza de que terão mais dignidade ao sentar-se à mesa para a refeição na Sexta-Feira da Paixão. Portanto, o Programa de Segurança Alimentar é uma política pública que precisa ser mantida”, disse Trindade.

Para a dona de casa Elisvalda Damasceno Oliveira, residente no Califórnia, o Kit Semana Santa entregue pela Prefeitura representa um auxílio extremamente necessário para famílias de baixa renda, que enfrentam dificuldades financeiras no dia a dia para colocar alimento na mesa.

“Graças a Deus, estou voltando para casa feliz e com a certeza de que teremos peixe, feijão e arroz para o almoço da Semana Santa”, afirmou a dona de casa, que tem quatro filhos.

Para a distribuição do peixe e dos kits da Semana Santa foram montados postos de distribuição no Centro de Cultura Adonias Filho, no centro; Vila Olímpica Professor Everaldo Cardoso, no São Caetano; quadra do Colégio CISO, no Fátima; na Escola Municipal Frederico Smith, no Urbis IV; e Escola Municipal Lourival Oliveira Soares, no Bairro de Ferradas.

O Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (SAMU) de Ilhéus realizou, nesta segunda-feira (14), a primeira operação com suporte aeromédico na região sul da Bahia. A ação, inédita, é fruto de uma parceria com o Grupamento de Operações Aéreas (GOA) do Corpo de Bombeiros da Bahia, sediado em Salvador, e marca um novo momento no atendimento pré-hospitalar de urgência na regional que engloba 11 municípios, incluindo Ilhéus.

A estreia do serviço ocorreu após um grave acidente automobilístico na cidade de Gandu, onde quatro vítimas foram resgatadas, duas delas em estado grave. O helicóptero do GOA pousou no estádio municipal da cidade, onde foi montada uma base emergencial com estrutura médica para estabilização dos pacientes. As vítimas foram transferidas para o Hospital Prado Valadares, em Jequié, por uma questão estratégica de logística.

“Esse era um sonho antigo do nosso SAMU. Estou há 12 anos na instituição e ver isso se concretizar é uma grande conquista para toda a região. Agora temos acesso a um suporte fundamental para salvar vidas em situações críticas”, afirmou o diretor do SAMU de Ilhéus, Dr. Jonatas Pinto.

O serviço aeromédico está disponível para todos os municípios da regional de Ilhéus. A equipe do GOA é composta por militares do Corpo de Bombeiros e profissionais de saúde do SAMU de Salvador, por meio de articulação com o coordenador estadual do SAMU, Dr. Ivan Paiva.
