Ele ressalta que a distribuição de peixes e kits da Semana Santa integram o Programa Municipal de Segurança Alimentar, que foi criado há quatro anos pela a primeira-dama Andréa Casto, então secretária de Promoção Social, com o objetivo de garantir alimentação às famílias itabunenses que vivem em vulnerabilidade social.

“Através do Programa, foi possível assegurar cestas básicas às famílias durante o período da pandemia da Covid-19, bem como a distribuição de cestas natalinas e o peixe e kits da Semana Santa”, destacou Trindade.

O secretário disse ainda que nas primeiras horas da madrugada de terça-feira começará a ser operacionalizada, a logística para a entrega dos peixes e dos kits, com o abastecimento dos locais de distribuição. A partir das 8 horas, as famílias serã atendidas pelo pessoal encarregado do trabalho.

O prefeito Augusto Castro (PSD) completa os primeiros 100 dias do seu segundo mandato com um balanço positivo e grandes entregas à população de Itabuna. Reeleito com mais de 60% dos votos válidos — marco inédito na história do município — o gestor destaca que os avanços já são visíveis em áreas fundamentais, como saneamento, saúde, infraestrutura, educação, desenvolvimento social e cultura.

“Seguimos com o mesmo entusiasmo do primeiro dia de governo. São 100 dias de muito trabalho, planejamento e realizações concretas. Nosso ritmo é acelerado porque temos pressa em melhorar a vida das pessoas. E é com esse compromisso que vamos continuar construindo uma Itabuna mais justa, moderna e humana para todos”, afirma o prefeito.

Entre as ações mais impactantes neste início de gestão está a execução do programa Mais Água para a Cidade, que vem resolvendo um problema histórico de abastecimento, sobretudo em bairros mais afastados. Com investimentos de mais de R$ 30 milhões, foram construídos dois novos reservatórios — no bairro Lomanto, com capacidade para 3 milhões de litros, e no Novo Jaçanã, com 5 milhões de litros — além de melhorias no sistema de distribuição e adutoras na Estação de Tratamento de Água.
A ação beneficia cerca de 150 mil famílias e acaba com o sistema de manobras, garantindo abastecimento regular e contínuo.

Na saúde, a população já sente os reflexos do fortalecimento da rede ampliação do Hospital de Base Luís Eduardo Magalhães, vinculado à Fundação de Atenção à Saúde de Itabuna (FASI), que atende cerca de 120 municípios do Sul, Extremo Sul, Baixo Sul e Sudoeste da Bahia, através do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), com investimentos de R$ 75 milhões, através de parceria com o Governo do Estado.

O Novo Hospital de Base conta com um novo Pronto-Socorro, Setor de Bioimagem, Centro Cirúrgico com seis salas e duas Unidades de Tratamento Intensivo (UTIs) totalmente equipados pela Secretaria de Saúde do Estado da Bahia (SESAB). A unidade ampliou o atendimento do hospital municipal que é referência na Bahia em politraumas e urgência e emergência.

Também foi entregue a segunda fase do Hospital São Lucas, com investimentos que ultrapassaram R$13 milhões no total das duas fases. As obras da fase atual são fruto da parceria do Governo da Bahia, Prefeitura de Itabuna e Santa Casa de Misericórdia para colocar à disposição dos pacientes 54 novos leitos de hemodiálise.

A gestão já contabiliza na infraestrutura, a finalização da 1ª etapa do Programa Acelera Itabuna (PAI) – futuro começa aqui, com a pavimentação de 330 ruas em 40 bairros melhorando a mobilidade urbana em diversos bairros e ainda, a implantação e revisão nas redes de água e esgoto e sistemas de iluminação pública em LED.

A requalificação de espaços públicos trouxe à cidade áreas como as praças do Lomanto, a Nova Orla do Berilo e a pista de skate na Beira Rio, incentivando o lazer e o esporte entre crianças e jovens.

Outro avanço importante foi o compromisso firmado junto ao Ministério dos Transportes para a construção do trecho de 7,5 quilômetros entre Nova Itabuna e Nova Ferradas, que vai beneficiar moradores e motoristas na principal ligação entre o Sul e o Sudoeste da Bahia.

A educação foi reforçada com a entrega de kits escolares para a rede municipal. A gestão também já fez a convocação de 934 aprovados no último concurso público. A formação profissional também recebeu atenção: mais de 400 vagas foram abertas na Escola Profissionalizante, ampliando as oportunidades de emprego e geração de renda.
No campo, agricultores receberam sementes de milho e outras variedades, incentivando a produção local e fortalecendo a agricultura familiar.

A Lavagem do Beco do Fuxico, que já se consolidou como o Carnaval de Itabuna, reuniu cerca de 100 mil pessoas e movimentou a economia com a presença de turistas de várias cidades. O evento valorizou os blocos tradicionais e atraiu grandes atrações musicais.
A Prefeitura também apoiou eventos esportivos como a Copa Cacau e a Corrida da Mulher, reforçando o incentivo à saúde e ao esporte.
