O prefeito de Itabuna, Augusto Castro (PSD), esteve nesta terça-feira (9) em Brasília, onde se reuniu com o ministro dos Transportes, Renan Filho, para tratar da aguardada duplicação da BR-415, no trecho entre Nova Itabuna e Nova Ferradas.
A audiência, que contou também com a presença da secretária de Infraestrutura Sônia Fontes, resultou em uma excelente notícia para os itabunenses: o projeto, que tem 7,5 km de extensão e será executado pelo DNIT, deve ter a licitação publicada nos próximos 30 a 40 dias. “Ainda neste segundo semestre vamos dar a ordem de serviço para tirar do papel essa obra tão esperada por Itabuna”, garantiu o ministro Renan Filho, após destacar o alinhamento com o ministro Rui Costa e o governador Jerônimo Rodrigues.
A duplicação da BR-415 é fruto de uma parceria entre a Prefeitura de Itabuna e o Governo Federal, e promete melhorar a mobilidade urbana, impulsionar o desenvolvimento econômico e elevar a qualidade de vida da população.“Estamos trabalhando para transformar esse sonho antigo em realidade. Essa obra vai melhorar a vida de quem mora, trabalha e circula por Itabuna todos os dias”, celebrou o prefeito Augusto Castro.

O Diário Oficial da Assembleia Legislativa da Bahia (ALBA) desta quarta-feira (9) publicou a exoneração de Bento José Lima Neto, aliado de confiança do ex-prefeito de Ilhéus, Mário Alexandre (Marão), e da deputada estadual Soane Galvão (PSB), sua esposa e ex-primeira-dama do município.
Bento Lima ocupava o cargo de Secretário Parlamentar (SP-27) no gabinete de Soane Galvão, com salário de R$ 14 mil mensais — a penúltima remuneração mais alta entre os cargos dessa categoria, segundo dados do Portal da Transparência da ALBA.
Advogado e ex-secretário de Gestão da Prefeitura de Ilhéus, Bento era conhecido como o “craque da gestão” e foi escolhido por Marão como seu candidato à sucessão na disputa pela Prefeitura em 2024. A decisão, no entanto, gerou um racha na base aliada ao governo estadual, que optou por apoiar a candidatura de Adélia Pinheiro (PT). O movimento também provocou atrito com o PSD, partido de Marão, que chegou a emitir uma nota recomendando a retirada da candidatura.

O Departamento de Polícia Técnica (DPT) de Ilhéus identificou os três homens que morreram na colisão entre dois caminhões ocorrida na manhã desta quarta-feira (9), na BR-415, trecho que liga Ilhéus a Itabuna. As vítimas são: José Carlos Marques de Jesus, de 44 anos; Adnejar Almeida Santos Filho, de 49; e Pedro Enrique Alves dos Santos Lídio, de apenas 21 anos. Os três faleceram no local do acidente.
Segundo informações da Polícia Civil, a batida aconteceu no quilômetro 13 da rodovia, nas proximidades da entrada da Vila Cachoeira. A suspeita é de que o motorista de um dos caminhões, um jovem de 23 anos, tenha perdido o controle da direção. O veículo teria rodado na pista e colidido com a carroceria na parte frontal do caminhão onde estavam as vítimas, que transportavam uma carga de cerveja.
A 1ª Delegacia Territorial de Ilhéus instaurou um inquérito para apurar se o condutor do outro caminhão poderá responder por triplo homicídio culposo – quando não há intenção de matar. Ele permaneceu no local do acidente, realizou o teste do etilômetro (bafômetro), que deu resultado negativo, e foi conduzido à delegacia para prestar depoimento. Após ser ouvido, foi liberado.

Um grave acidente registrado na manhã desta quarta-feira (9) deixou três pessoas mortas na BR-415, no trecho entre as cidades de Ilhéus e Itabuna, sul da Bahia. A colisão aconteceu por volta das 11h40, nas proximidades do campus do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia da Bahia (IFBA).
De acordo com informações preliminares da Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF), o acidente envolveu dois caminhões e um terceiro veículo ainda não identificado. As vítimas fatais, três homens, estavam em um caminhão que transportava cerveja da marca Itaipava. O veículo colidiu violentamente na traseira de outro caminhão, causando um impacto fatal. Segundo testemunhas, a força da batida foi tão intensa que os ocupantes morreram no local.
As identidades das vítimas ainda não foram divulgadas oficialmente. Equipes do Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu-192) estiveram no local para prestar socorro, mas os três ocupantes do caminhão da cervejaria já estavam sem vida quando os socorristas chegaram.

Decisão atende ação do Ministério Público iniciada em 2011 e visa evitar o colapso do prédio histórico onde funciona a Biblioteca Adonias Filho.
A Justiça determinou o bloqueio de até R$ 500 mil das contas da Prefeitura de Ilhéus para garantir a execução de obras emergenciais no prédio do antigo General Osório, onde hoje funciona a Biblioteca Municipal Adonias Filho. A decisão foi proferida pela juíza Monique Ribeiro de Carvalho Gomes, atendendo à Ação Civil Pública movida pelo Ministério Público da Bahia, que tramita desde 2011.
A ação foi iniciada pela promotora Karine Cherubini, ainda na gestão do ex-prefeito Newton Lima, diante do grave estado de abandono do imóvel, tombado como patrimônio histórico e cultural. Já em 2012, uma decisão liminar da Justiça determinou que o Município realizasse intervenções emergenciais para preservar a estrutura do prédio. No entanto, o governo municipal, ao longo de sucessivas gestões — incluindo as administrações de Jabes Ribeiro e Mário Alexandre — descumpriu a ordem judicial.
